Water Bug

We took Eden swimming for her first time this week. I wasn't sure how she would like it since I had dipped in her the pool once before and she wasn't impressed. She totally loved it this time though. She was splashing, blowing spit bubbles and kicking everywhere. It was so cute. Nana Joyce bought her this little baby float and she just floated around in the pool like she was trying to sun bathe or something. She would have stayed in there for hours if I would have let her.

Eden is starting to do so many cute things. She has just recently found her little piggies (toes) and she tries to suck on them but she isn't that coordinated yet. She can roll from her back to her side but gets stuck and can't quite make it all the way to her stomach. She loves making spit bubbles and blowing her tongue at us when she's happy. She also has found that she has a voice and likes to yell to hear it. Music to my ears? Not so much. I think she may be in the beginning stages of teething because she is drooling like crazy and loves to chew on everything.

As of last week our little peanut weighed in at 12 pounds 5 ounces. We've also noticed that her legs are finally starting to get some chubb on them and her first leg rolls are starting to form!

Nap time is starting to become a big pain the butt lately. The only time she gets a good long nap is when she can be in our bed and there is complete silence. If I have errands to run during the day, there is no chance of her napping for longer than 10 minutes in her car seat. This makes for a grumpy little girl come night time. Sundays are also no fun because church is right in the middle of her nap time and she wouldn't dare take a nap at church when there are so many fun people to look at and play with. She isn't sleeping so much at night anymore. She is still sleeping through the night, but her internal alarm clock goes off every morning around 6:30. I can't function that early anymore. What happened to her good ol' days of sleeping in until 10am?!

Pool time looks like fun! Lucy will be going for the first time in a couple days while we're in CA. Eden's suit is super cute.

That sucks about naptime, Lucy is kind of the same way. She'll fall asleep sometimes when we're out but only for a few minutes. So I just don't take her out much! If we put a blanket to cover her carseat at church and rock it back and forth she usually falls asleep for a few.

At least you had a few good months and now you are in the real world, where babies don't sleep like they should!!
