37 weeks...

and I am READY! Well, I'm pretty much ready. Luckily, a few weeks ago when I was feeling a lot better than I do now, I did all of her laundry and got everything ready for her. Now, mine and Craig's laundry is a different story... but we won't go there. I'm done working (YAY!) and it's been so nice to be at home these past few days. On Saturday, my totally awesome Mom spent all day with me making meals to freeze so we have good stuff to eat once the babe is here. We had a hard time coming up with meals that Craig would like, since most of them contained a vegetable or two, but luckily my mom's an expert and we put together about 10 meals that Craig would approve of and stuck them in the freezer. It was a looong day, but definitely worth it. Thanks, Mom!

After we had spent all day making food, Craig and I went to his parents house for our niece, Keira's, FIRST birthday party. She was SO cute and I can't believe she's already one year old! Happy Birthday, Keira! Here's the little birthday girl...

We left the party a little early since I wasn't feeling so great and just came home and watched some TV. Once we got home, I was SO miserable. I have a nerve that gets pinched in my back and it was killing me. It hurt to sit down, it hurt to stand up, it hurt to do anything. The only thing that helped it feel better was for Craig to rub it, but once he would stop, it would just ache and hurt even worse. Luckily, I have such a sweet husband who would do anything to help me feel better. He's been so nice to have around these past few weeks... I've hardly had to do anything for myself! But seriously, I don't know what I'd do without him. He's the best and I know he's going to be such a good Daddy. He has recently started to sing the "I like to move it, move it" song to my belly in hopes that she'll come out break dancing or something. He's also picked out a new song theme song for when she gets old enough to start dating... you know, when she's about 25. It's a country song that talks about a Dad who stays up all night just cleaning his gun while someone takes his daughter out on a date.

On a side note, I went in for my 37 week appointment earlier this week and I was 1cm dilated, 75% effaced. C'mon baby, I know you want out :)

Remembering Gordon B. Hinckley

This is my favorite! He invited his wife to the stand in Moscow, Russia and introduced her to the 2,000 people there as his "Babushka".

2008!

Again, it's taken me forever to update this dang thing. I swear there's 6 less hours in my days lately. We've been so busy this past month and I'm really starting to slow down these days.

Christmas was awesome! We had so much fun spending time with our families. On Christmas Eve, my side of the family had our usual progressive dinner and gift exchange. Christmas morning we opened our presents to each other and then went to my sister's house, had breakfast, and played with our nephews and their new Christmas presents. They are so stinkin spoiled. I think they got more new stuff this year, then I got in my entire childhood.

After breakfast, it was off to the Shaver's we went. We spent the rest of the day with them opening up presents, hanging out and eating lots of good food. Jared, Becky and their boys came from California to hang out for a week, so it was fun seeing them. Even with 4 crazy kids, a few pictures were taken of the Shaver Family at the Power Ranch clubhouse park...

I was also thrown a surprise baby shower from all the girls on Craig's side of the family. I was so surprised and am so thankful for all the stuff we got. We got sooo much cute stuff, especially clothes. Craig's grandma also made a baby quilt that she had made for her great grandchild. I'll have to post a picture of it when I get home. It's so pretty and so cool that she would give us something like that. Thanks Joyce, Leisa and Becky!

So, that was our fun filled Christmas weekend! Now on to our crazzzzy New Year's Eve! It all started when Craig and I went out to Red Robin for dinner. Then, we grabbed our bottles of Martinelli's and headed to my sister's house for the big p-a-r-t-y. We could barely keep our eyes opened, it was awful. We are getting so old (and so pregnant). I don't even know the last time we stayed up past 11. John and Craig watched the movie 300 on Tairi and John's sweet, new, freakin huge TV and Tai and I stayed up just talking. The movie got over right around 12 and we started hearing the fireworks so we thought we should go outside and let off our own fireworks. Yeah!! We had those real cool poppers that you throw on the ground and they make a little spark. We were like pretty much the coolest people on the block. At 12:15, we were on our way home and by 12:30 we were both passed out in bed. Don't be jealous.

Now you have a little idea of how awesome and exciting the month of December was for us. Now, it's 2008 and I'm starting to freak out just a little bit. When I first found out I was pregnant in June, I remember thinking that once Thanksgiving got here, I'd be pretty dang close to having this kid! BUT, once Christmas was over with, I'd be really, super close. I thought that Christmas would never get here. Well, now its come and its gone. That means, were in the final countdown... only 6 weeks left! We have everything we could need for when our little girl gets here, but I'm getting more and more scared the closer we get. I'm still working full time... even though I checked out mentally about a month ago. I swear that my days are becoming shorter and shorter. Either that, or I'm getting slower and slower. Truth is, I really am starting to slow down. It's such a pain in the butt to just get myself to go to the grocery store lately. I'm sure if I wasn't working 9 hour days, I'd feel a little bit better but I'm going to try as hard as I can to work as long as I can. If I'm still working by February 1st, I'll be surprised. Here's the latest of my ghetto bathroom pictures. I only remember to take pictures when I'm at work, so give me a little break :) Can't you just imagine me snapping a picture as fast as I can before someone walks into the bathroom? Yeah, it's lots of fun.
