Seriously So Blessed

Things around here are quiet tonight. Eden is taking a nap, the house is clean, and all I hear is the neighbor's Christmas music playing. I love Winter time. I love making Hot Apple Cider and being all bundled up in front of the TV. I love sleeping with the windows open and the heater on. I am totally an Arizona girl. This is what I call Winter! I turn the AC on in the car during the day, but the heater on at night. Seriously where else do you have to do that?

Things are hard right now - really hard. I know that things are tight for everyone, but that doesn't take away the sucky-ness of it. Through all of these hard times, I have to constantly be reminding myself of what I have been blessed with. I am seriously so blessed.

I am blessed to have such a hard working husband. I really don't know how he does it. Between working 3 jobs, going to school full time and studying, he still finds time to spend with me and Eden. Eden is so lucky to have such a hard working Dad and dang... I'm quite proud of him too.

I am seriously so blessed to be Eden's mom. I don't know what I did to deserve her! She is at such a fun age right now. I am loving every single minute of every single day with her. There is absolutely nothing better than being a mom. I love my little family.

Sisters. What would I do without sisters? I think Heavenly Father knew I would need some of the best sisters in the entire world, so he gave me Tairi, Brooke and Annie. I was making Hot Chocolate the other night and I got out my favorite mug. Brooke gave it to me while I was pregnant. I started crying when I read (for the 100th time) the little blurb on the side of the mug.
"My sister is the only person I can tell on in the morning and giggle with by the afternoon. She was my first confidant and my closest companion. And she will always be my precious friend."
Isn't that SO true? Whenever I am having a bad day, my sisters are always there for me. We can be fighting one minute and the next minute laughing hysterically. Who else can you do that with?

I feel like I am totally rambling about nothing. I haven't had any time in the past week to blog or write anything down so I have a lot of stuff going through my head.

I am super duper blessed to have awesome friends. I went out to lunch with my BFF Jessica this past week and realized how fortunate I am to have such great girl friends. I may not have a ton of them, but the few close ones that I do have make up for my lack in numbers. Jessica just got engaged and is getting married in May. I am so happy for her! I think lunch dates with girl friends are one of the best things in the world.

I love babies. I want one. My little Eden isn't a baby anymore. She just cut her 3rd tooth today, she waves hi and bye, blows kisses, plays peek-a-boo, says Baby and Tickle, and is just so smart. How I would love to have another baby. We have really been going back and forth on whether or not to have another baby, but have decided that Eden won't be a big sister for a while. Maybe for her second birthday or something - who knows. We made it official today... I went and saw the doctor and now we will be baby free for up to 5 years. I am not really sure how I feel about it yet. I am sad but I am also so excited because we have a lot of really exciting things planned for our little family in the future.

Christmas Dresses. Who doesn't love Christmas dresses? When I was growing up, my mom always dressed us girls up in fancy Christmas dresses. Sometimes she would even make them. She would stay up alllll night sewing our dresses so that we would all look so cute for church. This is something I definitely want to pass down to my girls. Sadly, I am not as crafty as my mother, but Kohl's clearance is just as good, right? I am pretty proud of myself for finding Eden's Christmas dress for $14.

I have been on a cooking kick lately. I love cooking and one of my favorite parts about being a homemaker is planning and preparing dinner. I love sitting down together as a family at the end of the day and enjoying a yummy meal. Eden is totally over pureed baby foods and will now only eat table foods. She is a little garbage disposal.

Last weekend, we got to go to a convert baptism. I have been to 2 convert baptisms and I won't ever forget either one of them. Craig had the oppurtunity of baptizing Sasha. It was so awesome. She is such a cute girl.

This blog is totally random. I'm just bored and feeling a little reflective. :o)

Eden is looking so adorable :) I wanted to ask, what's a convert baptism? What was the conversion from/to? I think it's interesting!
