Still cookin...

Why can't I be so lucky and have this baby early?! She's so comfy and she isn't showing any signs of exiting any time soon. Stubborn, just like her Daddy :).

I'm actually glad she's chosen to stay put this past week. I've been SO sick. I don't think I've ever been this sick and it isn't fun. I got out of the house yesterday for the first time in a week! It all started last week after my regular appointment and my doctor stripped my membranes. OUCH. I didn't think that would hurt so dang bad! A couple hours later I started having really weird back pains in my lower back so I just took it easy for the rest of the day. It came time to go to bed and I was in so much pain I couldn't do anything. I couldn't sleep, sit down, lay down, or anything. So, I was up for most of the night and got a fever of 102. I went back to the doctor on Friday and found out I had a realllly bad UTI and I got on antibiotics right away. Luckily that stopped all the back pain, but I still had a fever and I could feel myself getting sicker. After laying on the couch for the entire weekend, we went to Labor and Delivery to see what was wrong. Since I was on antibiotics already and wasn't getting better, they decided I had some nasty viral infection that I just had to let it make its way through me. I was so miserable up until yesterday. I'm still not 100% better but I'm definitely feeling better. So, we have demanded that she stay inside until I am totally better. I would hate having a new baby being this sick!

I had a list of so many things I wanted to get done this past weekend but with being sick I haven't done ANY of it. Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish things little by little this weekend. I am so excited to be a mommy, I just can't wait! I've been so lucky to have such a good pregnancy so far and am so thankful for that. I'm also pretty dang proud of myself for working up until I was 38 weeks. It's weird to not have to work now... I get so bored. What I am most thankful for is an awesome husband who has taken such good care of me for the past 9 months, especially this past week. He's been so amazing! We must have been doing something right to be blessed with this awesome little miracle kicking me from the inside out. I'm sure the next time I post will be some dang cute pictures of our little Shaver baby... so stay tuned!
