Eden the Fish

We had so much fun yesterday! I've been so excited for Eden to start swimming this summer and yesterday it was finally warm enough to enjoy a nice day out at the pool.

Becky and I were living the good life. We were lounging in the sun, getting served lunch poolside and watching the kiddos play for hours. Eden is definitely a water baby. She wouldn't let me take her out of the water for even 2 seconds. Jonah had tons of fun splashing in the kiddie pool with the 'surfboards' and Eli was in his own little world entertaining himself with the water jets. We could get used to this!

Ohio, here we come!

I am counting down the days until I get to go see my BFF and her girls! I hope Eden does well on the plane and I hope Craig can survive without me!

Lucy and Eden are only 4 months apart so I just know they are going to have a ton of fun together! Nola is one week old now and I can't wait to get my baby fix. Only 14 more days!

Happy Anniversary!

Needless to say, the month of February is pretty busy for us! To celebrate my birthday/our 2nd anniversary, Craig took me out on an all day date! It was so much fun being able to spend an entire day with just us. We sure did miss Eden though! I think we talked about her almost the entire time! First, I woke up to a delicious breakfast and we all sat down and had breakfast together. Then, Craig took Eden to his parents house while I got ready for the day. I had no idea what we were going to be doing!

To start, we went to the bowling alley and bowled 4 games together. I suck so bad! Craig on the other hand is a pretty decent bowler! He just laughed at me the entire time. It was fun. After we bowled, we went and walked around the San Tan Mall and bought a few things for Eden (of course). Then, we went to Home Depot to get a few things for our house and for my new curtains that Tairi made for me! Don't they look good?! (we still need to hem the bottoms)

After we shopped for a while, we went to our all time favorite restaurant, Carrabbas, and had a quiet dinner together. We intended on seeing a movie afterwards but we went to WalMart instead and picked up a few things for Eden's party. Hopefully we'll finish off our date sometime this week and see the movie we were meaning to see that night.

I can't believe I've been married to my best friend for 2 years! He is such an awesome husband and most of all, the sweetest, most loving Dad. He does so much to support our little family and works so hard to make ends meet. I love him so much! He is such a great example to me and is such a great Dad to Eden. Every night we lay in bed together and talk about how lucky we are to have such a beautiful little daughter and such a happy family! 2 years down, only eternity to go! I can not wait! I love you, Craig!

One Year Comparisons

Eden has always loved taking showers with Craig. Here is her first shower with him @ 10 days old:
And here they are on her first birthday:

Birthday Bash

Eden turned ONE on Sunday! She was a total princess all day and acted like she knew it was her birthday. We brought her in bed with us in the morning and Craig and I sang her happy birthday and gave her a million hugs and kisses. Then, we started making cakes and cleaning the house for our families to come over and have cake and ice cream with us. I think Eden's favorite part was having all of her uncles with her at the same time! She loves them!

Eden has such a dainty little personality. She always picks things up one at a time with her little fingers and is always so careful. I made her a giant cupcake thinking that she would just pick at the frosting. She started off slowly and started picking at the sprinkles, then next thing I know she is devouring the entire thing. She inhaled so much cake, I was positive she was going to get sick from all that sugar. Luckily she didn't! She was so cute and loved having all the attention on her... not a big surprise.

Saturday, January 3, 2009

The past few weeks have just been a blur. There's been so much going on that I have barely had any time to sit down and blog. Eden is growing like crazy. She now has 7 teeth and is only 1o months old! She can stand on her own but is very hesitant of taking any steps. She is perfectly happy with crawling for now! We call her our little garbage disposal because she will eat anything. Her favorites are grilled chicken, macaroni and cheese, tofu, cheese ravioli, and thanks to her Nonna... Red Vines.

Santa sure spoiled her this year! I don't think I have to buy her any more toys for a lonnnng time. Thank goodness!! She is still our happy little camper all the time and a super sleeper. Needless to say, we lover her so dang much.

Can I just tell you how excited I was for her very first Christmas? After 22 long years I finally got to play Santa! I was so excited! We had so much fun watching her open all of her presents. We are fortunate to have both of our families close by so we got to spend Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Craig's. My wonderful husband got me a really cute pictures thing for our bedroom that says, "Always Kiss Me Goodnight". He even picked it out all by himself! My favorite present from him though was the love letter I got in my stocking. He can be so sweet sometimes. I'm one lucky girl. I also got the prettiest knives and knife block I could imagine! I am still amazed at how crappy my old knives were. I never thought good, sharp kitchen knives would make me so happy. Thanks, Joyce!
After Christmas Jared, Becky and the boys came in to town to say goodbye to Leisa, Chris, Jayden and Keira who moved far far away to Hawaii (lucky!). We will miss them!

On New Year's Eve we just relaxed and set off some definitely illegal fireworks in my inlaw's backyard. The boys had fun and luckily the kids slept through it all.
We also went to the coolest museum ever with the boys and Nonna Joyce! It had so much fun stuff to do. Unortunately my batteries in my camera died after taking only a few pictures and I didn't get any good shots...only a few lame ones. It was a giant 3 story hands on childrem museum. I've never seen anything like it! The kids had SO much fun playing and I can't wait until Eden can run around and play with them all. Maybe for her first birthday (which is in 7 weeks!) we will get a yearly pass to the museum so we can go more often.
That is all for now.

At the museum:

The Noodle Pit. There were a TON of these noodles hanging down and there were kids running all through them.
