Our Moms

"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."

Craig and I are so blessed to have such awesome Mothers who love us very, very much. I am so grateful for the support and love they have shown us. Happy Mother's Day to my two wonderful Moms. We love you!

But here was the best part of the night. I was telling Kevin about the Cinnamon Challenge and how it is impossible to swallow a tablespoon of Cinnamon. He didn't believe me and said that he could do it and wanted to try. So, Craig got him a spoonful of cinnamon. Here's how the story ends...

Take me out to the ball game!

This past week has been the most eventful week we have had in a while! We were able to go out three times in one week... yeah!! It's pretty pathetic the things that make me happy now a days... Eden pooping, taking a shower before noon, breathing fresh air, getting out of the house 2 days in a row, etc. I am so proud to say that today is the fourth day in a row that I've gotten up, showered and been out of the house before noon. That must be a record.

Our first big outing this week was being able to go out to dinner, just Craig and I. It was the first "date" we've been on since Eden was born. We had to celebrate Craig passing his big test so we went to Carrabba's, our favorite. We left Eden with my parents and I wanted to call on check on her at least 3 times, but I refrained. After all, my Mom did raise 7 kids. I think she knows what she is doing.

Yesterday, me and Eden met our friend Jessica for lunch at Macayo's. Can someone just say Baja Burrito?! Yum. Then we did a little shopping at AZ Mills. Then, we went and visited Eden's Great-Granny before picking up Craig from work. We love Granny, she's so sweet.

Finally, today we went and watched the Diamondbacks beat the NY Mets 10-4. Craig's work had a bunch of tickets so we took a couple and joined some of his co workers for the game. We had so much fun!! We took Eden and she LOVED it. The noise didn't even bother her and she loved seeing all the people, lights and the pretty green field. She did so awesome, I was so proud of her. I knew she would do good though, she loves seeing lots of people and she's likes constant stimulation. Everyone loved her, of course. She was the center of attention wherever we went. I love my little family and I love when we get to do fun things together!

Speaking of our little family, we are getting sealed together in the Mesa Temple on the 24th of this month! Then, Eden will be blessed on the 25th, so if anyone wants to come out for that, let me know and I'll give you directions... everyone is invited!

So, that's my weekly wrap up. I'm exhausted.

She loves the Bjorn! (Thanks, Leisa!)

Shout out to my main man!!

I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of my smokin' hot husband! He passed his EMT National Registry Test! Yay!! I am so proud of him today :) I was laying in bed this morning just thinking of how much I love him and how grateful I am for everything he does for our family. He is such a hard worker and does anything he can to support our family. I just really love him. He is such an amazing person and more importantly, an awesome husband and father. I love you and I'm so proud of you, Craig!

Bossy

Ok, so maybe my family is right... I'm bossy. I'll admit it! My family always teases me about being bossy, so I should have known my daughter would take on the exact same trait. What I wasn't ready for, was that she would be so bossy this young! She is a demanding little booger and she always gets what she wants.

Today has just been one of those days. And it's only noon, yay! I contribute Eden's fussiness today to her lack of poop for the past 2 days. Today is day 3 with no poop and I can tell she's uncomfortable. From 6:30-8:30 this morning she was squirming in her sleep like crazy. On a normal day, she takes her morning nap about an hour after she has woken up for the day... so usually somewhere around 9:30-10. Today she started getting fussy about an hour after she had woken up so I figured she was sleepy. So, I start to rock her and sing to her but she just got fussier. It's possible that she hates my singing voice, but I really think it's her being constipated. My poor little sugarface. She just cried and cried and cried. This was the first time she was crying and I couldn't do anything about it. I felt so bad. Finally, I strapped her in the stroller and we took a walk. It didn't take her more than 5 minutes to fall fast asleep. She loves being outside and taking walks. I'm sad that it's so hot outside, I wish it would stay cooler for just a little bit longer so we could take more walks!

Other than going on walks, Eden's favorite thing to do is be on the run. She loves going places, running errands with me and seeing people. She gets her social butterfly-ness from her Daddy... definitely not from me! She always gets stir-crazy if we stay at home all day. She just won't tolerate it! Bossy I tell you...

I finally did it!

I've been getting so sick of my long hair lately. It was nice while I was pregnant because I could pull it back when I was lazy (which was everyday), but I was ready for something new! So, I consulted my trusty hairstylist, Tairi, and she worked those magical fingers... but not in a creepy, weird way. She's been doing my hair since I was 14 and every time she cuts it, I usually get mad at her, cry, then not talk to her for a couple of days. She always cuts it exactly how I tell her to, but for some reason I always hate her for doing it. This time she didn't cut it in front of a mirror so I couldn't freak out on her while she was doing it. I think she was surprised when I actually loved it when she was done. I didn't even get mad at her! Now I need to think of something cute to do with the color. Thanks, Tai!

This picture was just taken a couple of days ago. My hair was so plain and blah.

And here is the new do.
